Company history
I have only really become involved with individual rescue since April of 2006 when a plea was sent out over a local rescue list for foster homes for animals that were slated to be euthanized. They were only asking for homes for 2 months so I jumped on board. Two months quickly became 8 and I thought there was no hope of me ever moving my crew out. But due to a wonderful program in Arizona, all my fosters were able to leave in one fair swoop. It was in December of last year and the best Christmas present I could get.(It meant I could travel out of town for the holidays). I took a much needed break for a couple of months(at least from dogs, still had lots of cats) and am now back in it, full force. Prior to this I volunteered my time in the dog kennels at Lafayette's biggest non profit animal rescue group, Lafayette Animal Aid. It all is very time consuming work but the rewards of finding homes for animals you know would have been killed by gassing then incinerated make it all worth it in the end.
